Game Awards 2015 Nominees Announced

Nominees have been announced for the 2015 Game Awards. According to the official Game Awards website, a jury of 32 “international media” select the nominees, and the nominees in the eSports category were voted on by an “advisory panel consisting of eSports media and sites.” All games considered for nomination were required to have been released prior to Tuesday, November 24th.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt came away with 7 nominations, the most of any single video game, and Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain came in second with 5 nominations. Warner Bros. Interactive received 11 nominations, the most of any publisher.

Nominations for Game of the Year went to Bloodborne, Fallout 4, Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, Super Mario Maker, and The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.

The Game Awards 2015 will air live at 9 p.m. ET on Thursday, December 3rd at the Microsoft Theatre in Los Angeles. The awards will stream live to the following apps, sites, and consoles: go90, Playstation Network, Xbox Live, Wii U, Steam, Twitch, YouTube, IGN, Polygon, Gamespot, Kotaku, Niconico, and MLG.
