Xbox Games With Gold For March 2018 Announced.

(Trials of the Blood Dragon, Ubisoft)

Microsoft has announced the Games With Gold Lineup for March 2018. Four free games will be available for Xbox users and it’s an eclectic lineup, to say the least. Xbox One owners can add Trials of the Blood Dragon to their libraries throughout the month of March. From March 16 to April 15, SUPERHOT is available to download. For Xbox 360 owners, the first half of the month Brave: The Video Game is available. Then, starting on March 16 to the 31st, Quantum Conundrum can be yours.

Trials of the Blood Dragon takes the gameplay you’ve seen in the Trials Fusion games and puts it in the Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon universe. You play as Rex Powercolt’s (the main character from Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon) children that just so happen to be cyber commandos. We gave Trials of the Blood Dragon a 6 out of 10 touting the 1980’s inspired visuals, the soundtrack, and the biking segments in the game. However, it is quite short and doesn’t have a level editor in the game. Plus the on foot segments bogged the game down a bit.

SUPERHOT is a stylish first-person shooter which is better understood if it’s played or even seen. The basic premise of the game is that you are in a room and must take down enemies when you start with a prop like a gun or a bat. The catch is that time moves forward when you start moving. We gave SUPERHOT a 9 out of 10 on PC for being as “stylish as they come” with an interesting narrative. It’s worth a look if you want to feel like John Wick.

Brave: The Video Game expands upon Merida’s storyline in the movie. It received mostly average scores where it was reviewed. Most citing the mechanics of the game are okay but it doesn’t do anything special as far as movie tie-ins go.

Quantum Conundrum is a first-person platform puzzle game where you play as the 12-year-old nephew of Professor Fitz Quadwrangle. During his stay with his uncle, an experiment goes wrong trapping them both in a pocket dimension. The game received above average scores, for its unique puzzle-solving gameplay.

You still have time to pick up some of February’s Games With Gold before these titles go live. As is usual with the Games With Gold Lineup, all four games are available for Xbox One via Backward Compatibility.
