Straight out of GamesCon 2011 we have the Prototype 2 Blackwatch trailer. Prototype 2 is the much hyped sequel to Activision’s 2009 hit Prototype. It features a brand new protagonist, Sergeant James Heller who is on an ardent quest to wipe out the devastating Blacklight Virus from the first game. Heller wants blood too, Alex Mercers blood to be exact, he blames Alex Mercer (Rightly so) for the deaths of his wife and children during the Blacklight Virus outbreak. The game will be a third person shooter set in an open-world environment like the first Prototype.

Prototype 2‘s release date is April 24, 2012. It will be available on the PC, Xbox 360, and PS3. Mark your calendars folks!
