Earlier this past spring, a leaked Gamestop promotion revealed a Skylanders trade-in program, allowing gamers to cash-in on their old Skylanders figurines for a few bucks of in-store credit at select retailers.

Now the store chain is reportedly accepting both Skylanders and Disney Infinity figures in a similar deal. The news comes just in time for Disney Infinity 2.0‘s launch today, starring the Disney’s and Marvel’s The Avengers, as well as the latest Skylanders entry, Trap Team.

How much plastic will your local Gamestop be dealing with by the holiday season? Bucket loads, no doubt.

Disney Infinity 2.0 “Marvel Superheroes” releases today, Sep. 23rd. Skylanders: Trap Team launches Oct. 5th for North America and Oct. 10th for Europe.
