In a video posted on YouTube, Gearbox Software has given us a detailed walkthrough of their first current gen project. Battleborn is a co-operative FPS for PC, Xbox One and PS4. The story is based around Solus, the last star in the Universe, which is under threat from the viscous Varlesi. The game features a number of characters from five different factions, including the power hungry Jennerit and the nature loving Eldrid.
The walkthrough showed one of Battleborn’s five player c0-op missions. The level design itself was fairly standard, involving simple objectives and ending with a boss fight. What makes Battleborn interesting is the variety of its characters. Oscar Mike has an assault rifle and can produce defensive turrets whilst Rath dual wields katana blades and uses a spinning cyclone attack.
Battleborn is set to launch in 2015.
