Those who have been waiting impatiently to get their hands on Gears of War 4, can look forward to playing a taste of it very soon. On April 18th, players who played Gears of War: Ultimate Edition on Windows 10 or Xbox One and received a code to play the multiplayer beta, will get to experience it a week before the beta goes public for all. Those who haven’t played Gears of War: Ultimate Edition will have to wait until April 25th to play the game.
For those who played the remaster of the original Gears of War, codes will be sent out in waves to get access to the beta early. You do not need to have owned the game, you just need to have played it while logged onto Xbox Live or Windows 10. The timeframe to play the game has also been extended to April 11th, so if you know someone with the game, maybe give them a shout.
If you want to get into the Open beta, it is exclusive to Xbox Live Gold members and will run from April 25th to May 1st. Gears of War 4 is the first original game from The Coalition, having only previously worked on Gears of War: Ultimate Edition. They have been tasked with creating future games in the series.
