After the rumored Kinect-driven project, Gears of War: Exile was scrapped, many believed that the next installment in the Gears franchise would include some sort of Kinect integration. Game director, Cliff Bleszinski has asserted that this will not be the case. The main concern that he expressed was that it worked well for games centered around it but that the Kinect technology’s potential has not yet been fully realized for use in “core” games.

The new entry is still slated for a February 2012 release. For more on Gears of War: Judgement, refer to our previous coverage.
