Gears of War Producer Joins Bioshock Team

<p>After the recent departure of former director of product development Tim Gerritsen&comma; Irrational Games have brought on a new face from another acclaimed franchise to finish work on <em>Bioshock&colon; Infinate<&sol;em>&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>According to <a href&equals;"http&colon;&sol;&sol;kotaku&period;com&sol;5933119&sol;bioshock-infinite-update-multiplayer-modes-cut-gears-maestro-joining-should-fans-worry" target&equals;"&lowbar;blank">Kotaku<&sol;a>&comma; Irrational Games has brought on Rod Fergusson&comma; producer of the <em>Gears of War<&sol;em> series&period; The website reports that Fergusson is now taking the role of making sure <em>Bioshock&colon; Infinate<&sol;em> is ready for it&&num;8217&semi;s February&comma; 2013 launch date&period; Fergusson has had instrumental roles in the production of the Gears of War series&comma; as well as other Epic titles&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Whilst speaking to Kotaku&comma; creative director for Irrational Games Ken Levine did not confirm Fergusson&&num;8217&semi;s employment in the company&period; However&comma; he was willing to speak of the departure of both Gerritsen&comma; as well as Nate Wells&comma; another long term staff member for Irrational&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>&&num;8220&semi;In a company of 200 people you&&num;8217&semi;re going to have turnover&comma;&&num;8221&semi; says Levine&period; &&num;8220&semi;We never like to see a guy like Nate leave because he&&num;8217&semi;s been here for a long time but it&&num;8217&semi;s been 13 years and I think sometime people want to spread their wings&period; I&&num;8217&semi;m not going to stop people&period; We love Nate and I think we all remain friends&period; After 13 years he sort of finished his work on BioShock Infinite&comma; as you will be able to tell when you see the game again &&num;8230&semi; I think Nate&&num;8217&semi;s moving on to something else&period;&&num;8221&semi;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Rod Fergusson has now revealed on his personal Twitter account that he is indeed working with Irrational Games&comma; thus leaving Epic Games&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>&lpar;Via <a href&equals;"http&colon;&sol;&sol;www&period;theverge&period;com&sol;gaming&sol;2012&sol;8&sol;9&sol;3231452&sol;gears-of-war-producer-reportedly-helping-irrational-finish-bioshock" target&equals;"&lowbar;blank">The Verge<&sol;a>&rpar;<&sol;p>&NewLine;
