Gears of War‘s back to where it all began next month, so what better way to celebrate than another trailer?
The folks at The Coalition (formerly Black Tusk Studios) have been working hard at polishing the series’ original entry to a sheen and so they have from the looks of it. The trailer itself highlights the ridiculous chaos of the franchise’s infamous Emergence Day – the day that the Locust Horde invaded earth and everyone went wild for chainsaws on machine guns.
The game boasts an alleged 1080p graphics and 60 fps, but we’ll leave you to judge that. We’ll admit you can almost smell Marcus Fenix’s manly sweat from your seat, though.
Gears of War: Ultimate Edition releases this Aug. 25th for Xbox One and sometime later on Windows for PC. Its sequel, Gears of War 4, is undated.
