Geoff Keighley, host of The Game Awards, has announced on Twitter that Kiefer Sutherland, the voice of Big Boss in Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes and Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, will be in attendance at the event tonight.
Hideo Kojima, Metal Gear Solid creator and director, is also appearing at The Game Awards, as the Japanese developer is preparing to unveil the world premiere of Metal Gear Online — a multiplayer component previously integrated in Kojima’s critically acclaimed Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots.

Rumours have been circulating that further news will be announced on The Phantom Pain during the event — outside of the reveal of Metal Gear Online, obviously — with many believing that Kojima will possibly be confirming a release date for the highly anticipated open-world stealth title.
Keighley also confirmed that Imagine Dragons, best known for their hit single “Radioactive,” are putting on a performance at the event, while British musician Jamie N Commons will be singing the song that he has recorded specifically for Visceral Games’ Battlefield Hardline, “Karma.”
