Gilray: Oddworld: Munch’s Oddysee HD, ‘No Plans For Wii U’

<p style&equals;"text-align&colon; center&semi;"><a href&equals;"https&colon;&sol;&sol;cdn&period;bagogames&period;com&sol;wp-content&sol;uploads&sol;2013&sol;08&sol;05172840&sol;oddworld&lowbar;munchoddysee&lowbar;header&period;jpg"><img class&equals;"size-full wp-image-51552 aligncenter" src&equals;"https&colon;&sol;&sol;cdn&period;bagogames&period;com&sol;wp-content&sol;uploads&sol;2013&sol;08&sol;05172840&sol;oddworld&lowbar;munchoddysee&lowbar;header&period;jpg" alt&equals;"oddworld&lowbar;munchoddysee&lowbar;header" width&equals;"640" height&equals;"360" &sol;><&sol;a><&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>It appears that the Wii U will again be passed up in this &&num;8220&semi;Oddworld&&num;8221&semi; of our&&num;8217&semi;s and players won&&num;8217&semi;t have anything to &&num;8220&semi;munch&&num;8221&semi; on while they sit with a Game Pad in their hands staring at an empty HD screen space&period;  Putting all corny and bad jokes aside&comma; it appears that developer Just Add Water had no plans set in stone to release <em>Oddworld&colon; Munch&&num;8217&semi;s Oddysee HD<&sol;em> on the Wii U platform&period;  The CEO of JAW&comma; Stewart Gilray explained to one source that the game was developed on such &&num;8220&semi;old technology&&num;8221&semi; building it for the Wii U would be an uphill climb&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Gilray went on to say that developing it for the PS3 and the Vita was quite a chore to begin with and they didn&&num;8217&semi;t want to see history repeat itself again&period;  In <em>Oddworld&colon; Munch&&num;8217&semi;s Oddysee HD<&sol;em>&comma; the player is put into the role of odd looking gabbit Munch who was part of science experiment and escaped with only the ability to jump and swim&period;  The goal is to rescue as many other test subjects as you can and as you go the once captive critters will help aid in your escape&period;  Munch later joins forces with another odd looking creature named Abe who is a Mudokon and together under the direction of a Yoda type essence known as the Great Raisin they complete certain tasks to accomplish their goals&period;  In the end Munch seeks freedom from extinction and Abe just wants to free his friends&period;  There are power ups aplenty and one of the weirdest objects to collect is a can that looks like a can of soda&comma; but is actually a container full of gabbit eggs which can help replenish Munch&&num;8217&semi;s people&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>JAW is currently working on the newest Oddworld adventure called<em> Oddworld&colon; Abe&&num;8217&semi;s Oddysee New&&num;8217&semi;N&&num;8217&semi;Tasty<&sol;em> for PC&comma; PS3&comma; Vita and the Xbox 360&period;  The development team is confirmed as a legit developer for the PS4 but nothing is known as to what they are working for on that system&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>&lbrace;Source&colon;  <strong><a title&equals;"Oddworld&colon; Munch's Oddysee HD -no plans for Wii U release&comma; says Jaw" href&equals;"http&colon;&sol;&sol;www&period;vg247&period;com&sol;2013&sol;08&sol;08&sol;oddworld-munch&percnt;E2&percnt;80&percnt;99s-oddysee-hd-no-plans-for-wii-u-release-says-jaw&sol;">VG 24&sol;7<&sol;a><&sol;strong>&rcub;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>&nbsp&semi;<&sol;p>&NewLine;
