God of War: Ascension showed some single player action with Kratos returning to true form. The live game play showed Kratos ripping the heads off goat men (complete with goat heads) to highlight the series’ brutal gameplay. The game shows off some new combat mechanics as well. Kratos is not able to use enemies’ weapons against them and pick up and swing enemies into other enemies. Of course quick-time events make a return as well.
Kratos also showed some new power attacks where his blades catch fire and he plunges them into the ground, sending nearby enemies airborne.
