Gotham Knights Coming To PlayStation, Xbox And PC

The adventures in Gotham continues in 2021 on PC and consoles

Gotham Knights

Those who played Batman Arkham Knight may have recalled that the ending left things a bit ambiguous. It seems we are finally getting a form of continuation though. And this time it is up to the Batman family to tackle crime in Gotham. Gotham Knights will launch 2021 on PC, PlayStation 4, Playstation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X. The game is being developed by Warner Bros. Games Montreal.

The game will feature Batgirl, Nightwing, Red Hood, and Robin as they protect Gotham and bring hope to its citizens. Become the new Dark Knight and save Gotham from chaos. The game is playable either solo or as a two-player co-op game online.

A New Beginning

The fact Batman is dead could be a reference to Arkham Knight’s ending. Though whether this game takes place in the same universe remains a mystery. It’s probably unlikely, given the game doesn’t even feature Batman. But this remains somewhat blurry as the game does take into consideration Batman’s death.

It will be an open-world game like the Arkham games, but more of an action RPG. Players can utilize a variety of abilities, weapons, and combat moves to take down the enemies. Combat moves are unique to each character a swell. One of the villains you’ll encounter in Gotham Knights will be Mr. Freeze, which you can see below as one of many villain encounters in Gotham Knights.

Epic Games Store Exclusive

One big concern with the PC release is whether it will be exclusive to EGS. There is currently no word on whether it will come to Steam, EGS, GOG, or all of them. With a lot of the Arkham games now being on EGS there is a concern if Gotham Knights will be an EGS timed exclusive. We remain hopeful it won’t be another case like Hitman III.
