Gran Turismo Sport will release on November 15 for North American and Japanese audiences.
The news comes from VideoGamer via a conference in London. Polyphony Digital CEO Kazunori Yamauchi took to the stage to outline the coming features of Gran Turismo Sport, saying that the new title will include “A level of innovation not seen since the first Gran Turismo.”
Indeed, the next Gran Turismo will shift the successful franchise up a gear with the addition of PlayStation VR support. Originally planned to ship with the ability to use the new tech, VideoGamer now reports that Polyphony hopes to have the game running in virtual reality in time for its release.
Aside from the VR capabilities, Gran Turismo Sport will have four groups of cars, which are split by real-world and fantasy vehicles. As for “Super Premium” cars, there will be 137 of them to race in 19 locations with 27 layouts. And dirt tracks are making a return.
The new “Scapes” mode will let players take photos of their beautiful machines in over 1000 locations in 4K resolution.
