The free Beach Bum update for GTA Online is set to release on Nov. 19th (next Tuesday), Rockstar has revealed.
The update adds new weapons, jobs, customization options and vehicles, all of which are beach-themed. Rockstar shared several of their favorite new jobs, including:
- Grass Route II (Race): In this sequel to the original popular Grass Route Race, go off-road in an epic heat starting on the North bank of the Zancudo River through the treacherous wetlands with a triumphant finish on the beach in North Chumash.
- Paleto Beach (Team Deathmatch): The locals complain that not a lot happens in this sleepy town, so do them a favor and wake ’em up with a barrage of gunfire exchanged between you and a rival team. This Team Deathmatch takes place right on the romantic shoreline for 4-8 players.
A new melee weapon, the broken bottle, and the new SNS Pistol can be bought at any Annu-Nation in GTA Online, while it will be automatically added to Micheal, Franklin and Trevor’s inventory in the single-player. The new vehicles –the BF Bifta dune buggy, the rugged Canis Kalahari off-road truck, the Bravado Paradise beach camper van and the Speeder speedboat– are free in both online and single-player. Lastly, and more importantly, you can now deck out your online character in new beach-themed clothing. If you’re on the east coast (like me!) this may seem rather silly because it’s getting pretty cold out there.
Again, the Beach Bum update, which is a part of the 1.06 update for Grand Theft Auto V, is free and will be available next week. Spend all that Stimulus Package money yet?
