Gunfire Reborn has been on Steam in Early Access for a while and has already gotten a rating of Overwhelmingly Positive. The Chinese-developed co-op shooter features everything you need in a game. Cute furry characters, randomly generated dungeons, and an addictive loot system. And you can currently get it at 21% off (its lowest pricepoint ever) during Steam’s autumn sale if you want to check it out.
And now is a good time to grab it as well. Developer Duoyi already has new content in the pipeline. So let’s take a look at what’s coming for this Roguelite FPS RPG.
There’s an Elite Monster coming to the game. The Elite Bandit Hermit is the leader of the Bandits. And he loves uniting Coyotes to plunder caravans. I guess everyone needs a hobby, right?
There are also new weapons coming. The Sniper Rifle “Bloody Drill” causes a stackable bleed effect on enemies hit with it. Damage-over-time effects can be really useful in Gunfire Reborn so this seems like a really good addition to the arsenal.
There is also the Thunder Storm pistol. It fires a lightning ball that can be detonated with a lightning ray. The ball will disable enemy shields, much like electricity does in Borderlands. Considering shields can be a bit of a nuisance, the quicker you bring them down the quicker you can kill enemies.
There are also two new Occult Scrolls. Lone Ranger and Dormant Bullet. To get Longe Ranger, you need to kill Rogue Henchman 10 times. And in order to get Dormant Bullet, you need to kill Bandit Retainer 20 times.
There’s also a new gameplay mode coming. Daily Challenge will be added in the latest version. Challenge themes will be randomized every day, adding some fun challenges to do in addition to the main mission.
