An anonymous hacker has discovered how to play PS classics on the Vita via a PSP emulator using the kernel exploit (if that left you confused, don’t worry, it’ll be explained!). Essentially, Sony are currently developing an emulator to allow gamers to play PS titles on the Vita, but a clever someone has managed to do it faster by using a kernel exploit (essentially, he/she managed to find a way to manipulate a component of the hardware to allow for such play). The kernel exploit was discovered in the PSP emulator hence, its inclusion in the whole mix (hopefully it all makes more sense now!).

Whilst not perfect (the lack of sound is only slightly noticeable), the game itself appears to run without other problems, as seen in the rather impressive video.
