It was only last month that we reported the sad news that Halo 2 on the PC would finally have its multiplayer element closed down due to the lack of interest (the games multiplayer was peaking at 20 players to be fair). But this is no longer the case…
The multiplayer component of the game was supposed to end February 15th, this Friday (a.k.a: Tomorrow) for you date-fans out there but David Ellis, a designer at 343 Industries, has announced through Twitter than the game will run through June.
The tweet itself stated:
“Halo 2 PC support extended through June 2013 while we investigate further support options. Now go get those achievements”.
Could a sudden surge in players have changed Microsoft’s mind?
