<p>Like with all AAA games that plan on giving consumers a reason to <em>not</em> trade in their game a week later, <em>Halo 4</em> is getting its own Season Pass, but has instead opted to call it the War Games Map Pass to avoid confusion.</p>
<p>The War Games Map Pass will cost you $24.99 (2,000 MS Points) and will cover the cost of the three map packs -Crimson, Majestic and, Castle- that are scheduled to release during the months of December, February and April, respectively.</p>
<p>People that take the jump and buy the pass will be given two in-game helmets, as well as a special in-game emblem to show off your ability to save money. Those that purchase the <em>Halo 4 Limited Edition</em> won&#8217;t have to worry about buying the War Games Pass, as it will already be included.</p>
<p>The Map Packs, as detailed on <a href="http://majornelson.com/2012/10/24/announcing-the-halo-4-war-games-pass/">Major Nelson&#8217;s Blog</a>, will each come with three maps (totaling in 9, if you don&#8217;t feel like doing math) and are said to provide &#8220;classic <em>Halo</em> combat and exciting ways to experience the new feature-set of Halo Infinity Multiplayer&#8221;:</p>
<ul>
<li><strong>Crimson Map Pack</strong> (December), Maps: Wreckage, Harvest, Shatter &#8211; Witness the chaos of a clash of civilizations in Wreckage, with its blend of claustrophobic spaces and dangerous exposures and venture into the human colony environs of Harvest, and explore a human foray on an alien moon in Shatter.</li>
<li><strong>Majestic Map Pack </strong>(February), Maps: Landfall, Monolith, Skyline &#8211; Landfall’s emphasis is on infantry battles against a glittering ocean on a distant world, while Monolith exposes you to the naked vacuum of space – and the firepower of opposing teams, and Skyline’s distinctly industrial feel provides new challenges in somewhat familiar, but occasionally confined spaces.</li>
<li><strong>Castle Map Pack </strong>(April), Maps: Daybreak, Outcast, Perdition &#8211; Daybreak is set in a military facility against the backdrop of an idyllic mountain range, while Outcast plunges you into the warrens, canyons and arches of an alien edifice, and Perdition takes players into the heart of an urban sprawl, with tactical speed and situational awareness its key features.</li>
