<p>The upcoming <em>Genshin Impact</em> update brings a lot of exciting content. There are banner characters Rosaria and <a href="https://genshin-impact.fandom.com/wiki/Venti" target="_blank">Venti</a>, the next chapter of the main storyline with a <a href="https://genshin-impact.fandom.com/wiki/Dainsleif" target="_blank">Dainsleif</a> appearance, a cool-looking boss along with powerful weapons to defeat it, and many highly anticipated events.</p>
<p>There are two specific events causing a lot of buzz, both of which are very lighthearted and make for good memories and wholesome amusement: the Mondstadt Windblume Festival and the Hangout Event.</p>
<h2>Mondstadt Windblume Festival</h2>
<p>In the Mondstadt Windblume festival, the player will be talking to townspeople to complete chains of quests. This is a great opportunity to get to know the residents better and earn nice rewards upon completing these quests.</p>
<p>However, the most exciting part of the festival is the minigames! To get into the spirit of the festival, there will be plenty of minigames available to play. Some of them are part of the Peculiar Wonderland domain of challenges, which can be done in co-op mode — perfect to play with friends.</p>
<p>From running through bubbles to shooting down balloons, as shown in previews, there is guaranteed to be plenty to keep players entertained.</p>

<li>Floral Freefall</li>
<li>Ballads of Breeze</li>
<li>Stepping Stone Antics (Peculiar Wonderland)</li>
<li>Shimmering Path (Peculiar Wonderland)</li>
<li>Windblume Blessing (Peculiar Wonderland)</li>
</ul>
<p>During the festival, players will get access to a music-playing harp called &#8220;Poetry of Scenery&#8221; for the music-related minigames — and they&#8217;ll get to keep it long after the festival!</p>
<h2>Hangout Events: Series I</h2>
<p>The Hangout Event is a series where players will get to hang out with their favorite characters. Many are comparing it to dating sims, so it will definitely be interesting to see how this plays out. If anything, we suspect it will only make players grow more attached to the game and its characters if done right by developer <a href="https://mihoyo.com/" target="_blank">miHoYo</a>.</p>
<p>As the characters and their stories are already one of the primary draws to the game, it makes a lot of sense to be able to get to know them well in the context of daily life and friendship in addition to their lore and battle dialogue.</p>

<p>The Hangout Events are planned to continue past this particular update. Hopefully, the execution works out and reception is positive since we&#8217;ll likely see more of this in the future.</p>
<h2>Other Events in Genshin Impact Update 1.4</h2>
<p>There are also many other events in this patch aside from the fun, lighthearted ones. To name a few, the events Contending Tides, Wishful Drops, and Marvelous Merchandise will be available.</p>
<ul>
<li>Contending Tides: An arena event where players must beat waves of enemies within a set time limit. Both difficulty and rewards scale up daily.</li>
<li>Wishful Drops: Get a chance to fight the notorious Oceanid boss Rhodeia head-on. Need we say more?</li>
<li>Marvelous Merchandise: This was an event that was also <a href="https://genshin.mihoyo.com/en/news/detail/8144" target="_blank">present in update 1.2</a>, where players could trade items for great rewards. Take advantage of the opportunity and seek out the traveling merchant Liben to trade!</li>
