Ready your skills and be prepared to empty your gold pouch. Blizzard has finally announced the release date and prices for Curse of Naxxramas. July 22 is the opening date for the Arachnid Quarter, the first of the five terrifying wings that will open. The Arachnid Quarter can be unlocked for free during the launch event.
Blizzard’s Hearthstone blog announced “Naxxramas will open its gates one wing at a time, with a new wing opening each week. The wings of Naxxramas will open in the following order: Arachnid Quarter, Plague Quarter, Military Quarter, Construct Quarter, and Frostwyrm Lair.”
The launch event that gives Hearthstone players the opportunity to play the first wing for free will last about a month. After the Arachnid Quarter is released the remaining wings are available for purchase. There are two payment options
#1 Use 700 gold per wing
#2 Pay $6.99 per wing.
Blizzard also states on their website that there will be Curse of Naxxramas bundles available for the US, Europe and Australia. However the bundles do not open the wings early. The wings are being released in a one wing per week schedule. A Heroic Mode will be available once you have beaten all the bosses within an individuals wing for the first time. Heroic Mode bosses are more challenging and after winning against the new bosses, you get a new card back!
