A prominent cheater in Guild Wars 2, JT DarkSide, has had his character publicly humiliated and destroyed. Game security lead Chris Clearly took control of the cheater’s hero and made him run around in his underwear then throw himself off a cliff. The account was then banned from the game and all related characters were deleted.
Clearly took action after he found video evidence that showed Darkside using hacks to give himself an unfair advantage. “We don’t need to see it in-game, sometimes good video evidence is enough for me to track down who it was,” he said. “In this case, the video was enough for me to find out who it was and take action.”
