Heroes Of The Storm Gets A New Battleground

Heroes Of The Storm

Blizzard today announced that their newest Battleground – originally announced earlier this year at Gamescom – will be available for players today in Heroes Of The Storm.

Released alongside the other 8 existing Battlegrounds, ‘Infernal Shrines’ is themed after Blizzard’s popular RPG Diablo and will be part of a special reduced map rotation over the course of this weekend.

Infernal Shrines will make up the multiplayer rotation alongside Battlefield of Eternity, Cursed Hollow, Dragon Shire, Sky Temple, and Tomb of the Spider Queen for August 26nd to September 2nd.

Blackheart’s Bay, Haunted Mines, and Garden of Terror will be removed. You can still play them through Custom Games.

As well as this new map Blizzard had their share of other announcements at Gamescom this year in the form of three other playable characters for Heroes Of The Storm; Kharazim, Rexxar and Artanis.

Though Rexxar and Artanis – themed from WoW and Starcraft respectively – the Diablo themed Kharazim is already available for players to make use of.
