Most PC gamers aren’t too fond of Epic Games Store. The service, which has mostly gathered a following for its frequent distribution of free games, now has secured another timed exclusive in its claws. Hitman III has been announced as a timed Epic Games Store exclusive on PC.
What does this mean for the game? Well, on PC it means we probably won’t see Hitman III on other platforms until 2022. So people looking to get the game on PC seem to be out of choices. Unless they are fine with waiting.
The Thornbridge Mystery
Regarding Hitman III itself, it seems we will be visiting England for a bit. The trailer above highlights one of the missions available in this new location. In a reverse murder mystery, you need to find out how to kill someone, instead of figuring out the murderer. The developer has toyed with this idea in the past.
Dartmoor will give players a very traditional English location to explore. With the kind of grassy meadows, rocky hilltops, and winding rivers you’d expect from a location like this.
Players will be able to carry over progress and unlocked content from Hitman 2 into Hitman III on Epic Games Store. You can also import locations from the previous two games. IO Interactive is grateful for Epic Games allowing them to self-distribute the game on Epic Games Store.

In Dartmoor’s murder mystery, we are dialing all of that up to 11. Every member of the family is a possible suspect and it’s been quite the challenge to make sure everything doesn’t fall apart just because the player wants to play around. In fact, that sort of behavior should be rewarded in a Hitman game, so we have been working hard on making sure that depending on what a player discovers during their investigation, outcomes might differ.
