Although it could be a lot worse, even though this doesn’t make this news any better, HMV has announced that it will close between 60 and 100 stores in the UK, putting 1500 jobs at risk.
Although people may assume that ‘it could be worse’, the bad news doesn’t stop there as Deloitte and Hilco, the company which now own HMV, are aiming to closer more stores, aiming to close 120 – 160 stores in total. With only 223 HMV stores in the UK this could leave just 63 stores left ojn the high street.
