Two new faces will be joining Remedy Entertainment’s head-spinning action-game, Quantum Break – and they should be fairly familiar to fans of comics and fantasy. Lord of the Rings star Dominic Monaghan and Shawn Ashmore of X-Men and The Following fame will be playing two unknown parts for the game, but we can rest assured that their full likenesses will probably make it to the small-screen.

As it was revealed today on Twitter, Remedy showcased the actors in the midst of their work on the game, full mo-cap suits and all. Ashmore can be seen to the left and Monaghan can be seen to the right, both at Remedy studio in LA.
The news comes not long after the studio released sixteen full minutes of demo footage for their upcoming 2015 title. Quantum Break is slated for release in Q2 and promises cover-based, third-person shooter style action in tandem with a live-action TV series to be broadcast exclusively on Xbox Live.
We’re still told by Remedy after all these months that, “how you play the game impacts the show, and the show informs how you play the game.” Whether Ashmore and Monaghan play a part in both projects remains to be seen.
