The highly anticipated sequel to Guerrilla Games 2017 action role playing game Horizon Zero dawn was officially revealed earlier today during the PlayStation 5 reveal Livestream, and its called Horizon II: Forbidden West.

As a remainder, Horizon Zero Dawn follows a young hunter named Aloy as she looks for clues to her past and the mysterious post-apocalyptic world she lives in. The game offered incredible graphics, an interesting premise, and an intriguing plot. It was also highly successful, selling over 10 million copies. A port for PC was announced to arrive later this year.
Horizon II: Forbidden West continues Aloy’s journey as she travels west to multiple post-apocalyptic locations to continue unraveling the mysteries around the catastrophe that’s destroying the world. The game is coming exclusive to the PS5 and boasts even more advanced visuals, new gameplay elements, new locations, and all-new massive creatures, including a gigantic robotic elephant.
It looks promising so far, and I, for one, can’t wait to see more details revealed, including a release date and some gameplay footage leading up to its release.
