Horizon: Zero Dawn Has New Trailer, New Release Date

Horizon: Zero Dawn has been a PS4 exclusive that many have been keeping their eyes on since it was first revealed at last years E3. Many hoped that it would be coming out in 2016, but sadly this is not the case. On the PlayStation Blog, it was announced that the game would indeed be pushed back to February 28, 2017, to give the studio more time to polish up the game and make sure they get things just right. While it does sting quite a bit as it was shaping up to be a gem in Sony’s fall lineup, at least it will come after everyone has had their fill of the falls big releases, like Battlefield 1 and Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare.

To ease the pain however, Guerrilla has released a brand new trailer for Horizon which you can see above. It covers a little bit more of what is going on in the world, what Aloy is up to, and shows off some human antagonists which haven’t really been seen before. It definitely helps to set the tone of the game a little bit more, and give some more teases into what is potentially going on in this world – as well as Aloy’s role in it. The gameplay looks great, and the more robot dinosaurs they show the better.

Additionally, the obligatory limited and collector’s editions have been announced, and they have the usual goodies that one would expect. The Limited Edition features a steelbook, art book and in-game goodies such as outfits and the like, while the Collector’s Edition features the same things as the Limited Edition, but with a nine inch Aloy sculpture.

It is sad news, but somewhat expected that Horizon was pushed back. The rumours have been going around for a couple of months now, so at least it is official and now we wait for February. It does take a little bit of steam out of Sony’s fall lineup, but with The Last Guardian, Gravity Rush 2, Gran Turismo Sport and more, there should be things to keep us all busy.
