IGN Interviewer Assumes Everyone Hates Cyberpunk 2077

An IGN interviewer assumed quite a bit of things about Cyberpunk 2077's fanbase when interviewing one of its fans.

There is no doubt that CD Projekt RED has a lot to answer for when it comes to Cyberpunk 2077. Whether it was the crunch, the fact the game was rushed out, or just the way they covered up the state of the game, they are by no means innocent. And should be held accountable for their actions.

That does not however mean that Cyberpunk 2077 is a bad game. In fact, as you may have seen in our review, it is a rather remarkable game that does a lot of things right, even if it fails in a lot of areas. But what it does right, it does really right. And as a result, the game already has a pretty devoted fan community.

A fan of the game was recently interviewed by someone representing IGN. And to say the questions were biased is putting it mildly. The interviewer all but assumed that the player would be disappointed in the game.

A Game Worth Loving

4 of my close friends have bought the game. One of them on PC, the other 2 on PS4. All of them have something in common to say. Despite the bugs, especially on PS4, they can’t stop playing. They are loving the game.

Another person I talked to even said the game was a life-changing experience for them. And my own experience is that not only did I enjoy playing Cyberpunk 2077 for the review, but I am also still playing it and still enjoying it.

It’s way too easy to dismiss the game for just being an overhyped buggy mess. But doing so is ignoring all the work that was put into the game. When playing the game, I keep noticing little details that only strengthen my belief that this game truly did take 8 years to make. Hopefully, once the dust has settled and some patches have come out, everyone will see that.
