Indie game Defunct Makes its Way to PS4 and Xbox One in December

After having released on Steam in January of last year, indie adventure title, Defunct, is making its way to the current generation of consoles on both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Developed by Freshly Squeezed and published by SOEDESCO, the game will launch digitally on December 19th. You can watch a trailer for the game below.

For those unaware, Defunct is about a broken robot who is dropped from a cargo ship onto Earth. Of course, it’s an Earth with no humans anymore and is overrun by robots. Your objective is to get back to the ship by using a variety of tricks and jumps to maneuver through the world. What sets the game apart from other titles is its use of gravity to traverse Earth. Equipped with a Gravitize engine, players can turn gravity on and off to help achieve faster speeds when going downhill or less resistance when moving uphill, for example.

It’s all about style, speed, and flow as you race to get back to your ship. The use of gravity mechanics is a neat twist, and the game has been very well-received on Steam. So it seems like a no-brainer to pick this up when it releases in December. Let us know in the comments below whether you’ll be buying Defunct?
