Insomniac Games, developer of the PlayStation superstar duo Ratchet and Clank, isn’t seeing a great future in developing Wii U games. Insomniac CEO Ted Price, took part in a Reddit AMA session and expressed his view of seeing the Wii U as more current generation than “next generation” platform, and that he considers the PS4 and the upcoming new Xbox as being the real title holders. Price said he’s very excited about the PlayStation 4 and that it’s great how Sony is cutting through the red tape and making it easier for indie developers to get their games onto next-generation consoles. He is also very excited about the next Xbox, which will be unveiled on May 21, and to see what Microsoft has up their sleeves.

While the Wii U is down for the count, Price isn’t counting out the PC–especially when he was asked about Insomniac’s co-op shooter Fuse and why it hadn’t been announced yet for PC. Price responded saying,

“We wanted to make sure that we nailed it on Xbox 360 and PS3 before considering anything else. New IP, new engine [and] tools, new publishing partner. There was a lot of “new” on the project. “

When he was approached and asked if Insomniac had PC game development lined up, he said, “Maybe…stay tuned.” At the end of his AMA a Fuse fan asked him if Insomniac would ever make another game that ran at 60fps and he said that it would probably not happen. He stressed the fact that most fans were happy with 30fps for their Resistance and Ratchet and Clank franchise of titles.

Fuse is set for release on Xbox 360 and PS 3 on May 28 in North America.
