As the title says, the old-school first-person shooter developed by Voidpoint and published by 3D Realms and 1C Entertainment will come to consoles soon. Ion Fury will release on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on May 14. Of course, the development team wanted to give people an announcement with all bells and whistles so they provided an announcement trailer. You can watch the trailer below:
Ion Fury Console Release Date
As mentioned before, Ion Fury will be released on the 3 giants’ consoles on May 14. Utilizing the same Build engine behind the original Duke Nukem 3D, Ion Fury offers the beloved feel of ‘90s shooters. Seamlessly integrated modern features include headshots, environmental interaction, improved physics, auto-saves, and widescreen functionality.
Ion Fury’s marriage of both styles provides both a genuine introduction to classic FPS games and a worthy addition to the genre as a whole, as evidenced by winning IndieDB’s game of the year award.
Ion Fury will be available for pre-order on Xbox One on May 1 at a 15% discount. With this, the price will go down to $21.24. On Nintendo Switch across Europe, the game will be up on May 7 with a 15% discount. The game will be fully available on May 14 on all platforms. Additionally, it will have English, French, German, Russian, and Spanish language support.
Ion Fury will also be available physically for hardcore collectors. All you need to do is go to the game’s official website. The game’s physical edition will also include an exclusive artbook and a sticker set. Keep in mind, however, that units are limited and will begin shipping on June 26.
