Update: It’s officially official: Roy and Ryu are coming to Super Smash Bros for Wii U and 3DS, Nintendo’s confirmed via their latest Direct.

Original Story: There’s seems to be no end to the number of characters that gamers have on their Smash Bros wish list and two of them might be all but confirmed by two of the latest Smash leaks to hit the web. Thanks to some of the most obsessive people on the internet, we have what looks like Roy and Ryu’s HD series debut in all their in-game glory.

It should go without saying that the footage in question should be taken with a grain or two of salt, but as legit as the footage below appears to be, the evidence is mighty hard to question.

As brought up by some folks on Reddit, YouTube users Memescreen and TripleXero have captured what certainly looks like our two fighters butting heads as they’ll appear in-game, or at least at the time of this writing.

Suffice to say, Roy looks and fights pretty much like Roy and Ryu looks and fights like, well, Ryu. You can see either of them for yourself down below.

With a Smash Bros Direct headed our way shortly, it might be possible that these two fighting additions leaked ahead of their formal announcement. We’ll see tomorrow.

Roy’s original Smash Bros appearance 2001’s Super Smash Bros. Melee for the Gamecube while this will be Ryu’s series debut as well as the appearance of anything Street Fighter.

Trust us, there are sure a whole lot more game characters that need your help getting into Super Smash Bros, but what do you think about our two ‘R’ fighters? Do you want to be witnessing some serious hadouken in Smash Bros or busting butts and taking names with Roy?
