Iwata Hoping To Regain ‘Nintendo-Like’ Profits This Fiscal Year

Nintendo is at a point where it is difficult for people to argue whether it is doing well or bad in its vision of dominating every living room and rucksack (we struggled to think of where the 3DS lives?) across the globe thanks to the great success of the 3DS but the dismal failings of the Wii U. However, Satoru Iwata, Nintendo’s president, has made it clear that the company hopes to regain profits within the next fiscal year:

“Nintendo posted an operating loss for the fiscal year ended March 31, 2013. However, we strive to regain ‘Nintendo-like’ profits for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2014 by providing many people with fascinating games and services. We continue to make brand-new and unique proposals, and make efforts for the growth of the home entertainment industry with a mission that is to pleasantly surprise people and put smiles on the faces of everyone Nintendo touches.”

Do you think that Nintendo can ever capture sales figures such as the high points of previous year when both the Nintendo DS and Nintendo Wii were selling like hotcakes? Let us know your thoughts over at our Facebook page!
