The Jak and Daxter Trilogy Is Set To Release Later This Year On PS4

Jak and Daxter, Naughty Dog

If you are one of those fans that have been patiently waiting for a new HD port of the Jak and Daxter Trilogy, you will be happy to know that the dynamic duo will be heading to your PS4 later this year as part of the PlayStation 2 Classics program.

Announced via the PlayStation Blog, Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy, Jak II, and Jak 3 will all be available to download on the PlayStation Store later this year. But if that wasn’t already enough, re-releasing for the first time since 2005, Jak X: Combat Racing will also be available later this year. Both the Adventure and Exhibition modes will be available for fans to play, along with the ability to challenge your friends via split-screen. Unfortunately though, no online features will be available with the games.

All of these titles will be up-rendered in 1080p and will offer Trophy support. Along with this, you will also have access to the more modern features of the PS4 such as Shareplay, Remote Play, and Activity Feeds.

While no official price or release date has been revealed, we are sure to hear more about this — along with more PS2 Classics — in the coming months at E3.
