<p>THQ, the struggling publisher behind upcoming title <em>Darsiders 2</em> announced that Jason Rubin, co-founder of Naughty Dog, has been appointed the president of the company, effectively immediately. Rubin will be responsible for the worldwide product development, marketing, and publishing operations and will report to THQ Chairman and CEO Brian Farrell.</p>
<p>Rubin helped co-found Naughty Dog in 1984 with Andy Gavin. When the studio created the <em>Crash Bandicoot</em> and <em>Jak &; Daxter</em> series for the PlayStation platforms, the studio gained notoriety. Rubin served as co-creator and game director. He left Naughty Dog in 2004, three years after the studio was purchased by Sony Computer Entertainment.</p>
<p>THQ announced that Danny Bilson, the company’s previous executive vice president of core games will be leaving the company to “pursue other interests.” Dave Davis, senior VP of core games will also be leaving.</p>
