Jungle Rumble: Freedom, Happiness and Bananas out today on the PS Vita

Later today when the PlayStation store has been updated, Disco Pixel will be releasing their rhythm-puzzler, Jungle Rumble: Freedom, Happiness and Bananas, for the PS Vita.

This is a title that has previously been released on Android and iOS devices but it is not just a port to PlayStation’s handheld device. Disco Pixel have taken advantage of the various screens of the Vita to deliver a new and unique experience.

Players are tasked with assisting the Mofongo Tribe from fending off rival invading primates from taking their bananas. From here, monkeys learn it is not their own kind stealing the bananas but the dastardly humans invading the rain forest. In order to help the monkeys, players will need to keep the beat of the music while commanding the Mofongo tribe. The music will intensify as the situation becomes dire. Jungle Rumble requires players to strategize their next move in order to keep the monkeys moving and attacking.

Jungle Rumble features many levels spread acorss three worlds: “sunny Juba Falls, dark Kagunga Forest and the devastated Nadges Corp. Factory”. Besides the main story, there are also many side quests for gamers to complete. Players will find themselves immersed not only by the soundtrack but also by the various monkeys, colorful artwork, and the unique game mechanics.

“During testing gamers would enter a Zen-like state, becoming enraptured with Jungle Rumble,” said Trevor Stricker, president, Disco Pixel. “I am as happy as a monkey instigating monkey business in a monkey tree when I see gamers play for hours.”
