Jurassic World is the Worst Family Vacation Ever

Yes, people are still sending their kids to Jurassic Park after all three movies of folks getting eaten by them. It’s this same crazy (Jurassic) world in which Guardians of the Galaxy and Parks and Recreation‘s Chris Pratt works with Bryce Dallas Howard’s Claire (just Claire, apparently) as a park keeper twenty-two years after Jeff Goldblum taught how bad of an idea it really was.

Now, Isla Nublar’s most infamous dinosaur keep is a full-blow theme park attraction for irresponsible parents and man-eating lizards alike, run exclusively by the Masrani Corporation. Owen (Chris Pratt) is charged with conducting “behavioral research” on the Velociraptors, which no doubt turns great results when he’s inevitably running for his life from them.

And yes, things do in fact go awry it’d seem from the trailer officially released by Universal Pictures below when a genetically modified dinosaur gets loose in the park that must be hunted down and destroyed. Whoever did that is probably expecting a pink slip coming their way.

Jurassic World is the second film in the franchise to move beyond the 1990’s literary duology of Michael Crichton’s since 2001’s Jurassic Park 3 and intends to build a new series story arc since the events of the originals.

Directed by Colin Trevorrow, Jurassic World premieres June 12th, 2015. Starring alongside Pratt and Howard are Daredevil’s soon-to-be Kingpin, Vincent D’Onofrio. The film also stars Nick Robinson, Ty Simpkins, BD Wong, Jake Johnson, Lauren Lapkus, and a bunch of other actors that most likely play dinosaur chow.
