<p><em>Killzone: Mercenary</em> is an upcoming FPS and PS Vita exclusive set to release on September 17, as reported on the <a href="http://blog.us.playstation.com/2013/01/30/killzone-mercenary-hits-ps-vita-september-17th-new-trailer-and-screens/">PlayStation Blog</a>. The title&#8217;s story takes place at the end of <em>Killzone</em> and sees players take charge of character Arran Danner, a former soldier who has been tasked with evacuating an ambassador from a serious situation, only to have things go from bad to worse when the ambassador&#8217;s son becomes a target.</p>
<p>The game will feature 9 missions, each reported to be an hour long and completing missions will unlock challenges. A multiplayer mode will feature 6 maps for up to 8 players and also consist of 3 game types including Warzone. Players will be rewarded for actions taken both in the single player and multiplayer modes which can later be used for in-game purchases.</p>
<p>The game will include tilt-screen action to aim sniper weapons and will run on the Killzone 3 engine.</p>
