Killzone: Mercenary is an upcoming FPS and PS Vita exclusive set to release on September 17, as reported on the PlayStation Blog. The title’s story takes place at the end of Killzone and sees players take charge of character Arran Danner, a former soldier who has been tasked with evacuating an ambassador from a serious situation, only to have things go from bad to worse when the ambassador’s son becomes a target.
The game will feature 9 missions, each reported to be an hour long and completing missions will unlock challenges. A multiplayer mode will feature 6 maps for up to 8 players and also consist of 3 game types including Warzone. Players will be rewarded for actions taken both in the single player and multiplayer modes which can later be used for in-game purchases.
