Guerrilla Games took the stage during Sony’s PlayStation Meeting and announced the newest entry into the Killzone franchise.
Called Killzone: Shadow Fall, this title takes place 30 years after the events that transpired in the original Killzone trilogy. The Helghast and the Vektans, over the course of those 30 years, have somehow managed to learn how to live side by side, albeit with a wall dividing the two.
“It has been an amazing journey for us so far, being offered the opportunity to be a launch title for the new PlayStation, and the subsequent mild panic to figure out how to best handle all of that,” said Guerrilla Games’ Victor Zuylen in this blog post.
“But being able to now share it with you is both a scary and proud moment. We are hoping you will like what we have created, and are happy to present you with the first glimpse of Killzone Shadow Fall.”
