Tetsuya Nomura, the series director of Kingdom Hearts (and Kingdom Hearts 3), has reportedly stated at Sunday’s World Tour concert that there will be “final information” on Kingdom Hearts 3 given at D23 Expo.
Dedicated Kingdom Hearts fansite KH13 has claimed that the official interpreter of the concert said these words for Nomura. This comes the night after the 2017 Orchestra trailer for Kingdom Hearts 3, which heavily featured Mount Olympus and provided a look into the game’s story.
What does this final information mean? An official release date? Is this game further along than we have realized? If and when we hear more details, we will keep you informed. All we know right now is that we are going to get a new world announcement and a new trailer for Kingdom Hearts 3 at D23 Expo on July 15th.
Final Fantasy XV was Square Enix’s last game and it was announced when Nomura was working on both that there would be a “signifcant gap” between releases. Of course, as mentioned, we don’t know what this “final information” will be but if it’s a release date there has to be some certainty they’ll hit it.
