Kingdom Hearts 3 May be Headed to a Console Near You

<p>Tetsuya Nomura&comma; designer for Square Enix&comma; has suggested that <em>Kingdom Hearts 3<&sol;em> will indeed launch on home consoles&period; The next game in the Disney&sol;Final Fantasy crossover series&comma; <em>Kingdom Hearts Dream Drop Distance&comma; <&sol;em>launches on the Nintendo 3DS&period; The series has been a hand-held staple sinc the 2005 release of <em>Kingdom Hearts 2<&sol;em> for the PlayStation 2&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>In an interview with <a href&equals;"http&colon;&sol;&sol;www&period;gameinformer&period;com&sol;" target&equals;"&lowbar;blank">Game Informer<&sol;a> &lpar;via <a href&equals;"http&colon;&sol;&sol;thesilentchief&period;com&sol;2012&sol;05&sol;08&sol;time-for-kingdom-hearts-to-return-to-a-console-says-tetsuya-nomura&sol;" target&equals;"&lowbar;blank">The Silent Chief<&sol;a>&rpar;&comma; Nomura said it was time for <em>Kingdom Hearts<&sol;em> to be back on a home console&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>&&num;8220&semi;We have been invited to make games on different new platforms&comma; and every time we have created titles making sure that they are highly compatible with the platform&comma;&&num;8221&semi; Nomura said&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>When asked about the PS Vita&period; &&num;8220&semi;The PS Vita is definitely a powerful device that is very interesting&comma; but because of its high power&comma; there isn&&num;8217&semi;t much of a difference with a console&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>&&num;8220&semi;So even if we were to make a game&comma; we would have to be very careful about how to create it for that device&period; I also feel that it&&num;8217&semi;s about time that Kingdom Hearts should go back to being on a console&period;&&num;8221&semi;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Nomura also said he is interested in working on an HD collection of the <em>Kingdom Hearts<&sol;em> series&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>&&num;8220&semi;If it is possible&comma; I would like to do something about the series being spread over so many different consoles&comma; too&period; I am thinking a lot about the future&period;&&num;8221&semi;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>&lpar;Via <a href&equals;"http&colon;&sol;&sol;www&period;eurogamer&period;net&sol;articles&sol;2012-05-08-nomura-suggests-kingdom-hearts-3-will-launch-on-home-console">EuroGamer<&sol;a>&rpar;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>&nbsp&semi;<&sol;p>&NewLine;
