Kingdom Hearts [Dream Drop Distance] has been announced for the PlayStation 4, in the form of Kingdom Hearts HD II.8: Final Chapter Prologue. Dream Drop Distance was originally released for the Nintendo 3DS back in 2012, and Kingdom Hearts HD II.8 will be a full-hd remaster of that game.
This announcement was made by Square-Enix in a Press Release today, and it was also revealed that Dream Drop Distance is not the only part of Kingdom Hearts HD II.8. There will also be a completely new chapter in the game called Kingdom Hearts 0.2 Birth By Sleep: A Fragmentary Passage, that let’s you play as Aqua, linking directly into Kingdom Hearts III.
The final piece of the package, is a HD movie that goes by the name of Kingdom Hearts x [chi] Back Cover. This movie acts as a kind of a prequel, connecting the earliest parts of the series story.
Square-Enix also mentioned that a trailer for Kingdom Hearts HD II.8 will be released on Sep. 17th.
