Kingdom Hearts director Tetsuya Nomura has confirmed to Ruliweb (via KH13 with Jess from Tumblr and Amber from Tumblr translating) that the Kingdom Hearts 1.5 and 2.5 HD ReMIXes will not be coming to PS4.
The director of the series said, “Recently, we also received a significant increase in requests for the Kingdom Hearts 1.5 ReMIX and Kingdom Hearts 2.5 ReMIX to be released on the PS4. Unfortunately, we don’t have any plans for that.”
Kingdom Hearts 1.5 ReMIX and Kingdom Hearts 2.5 HD ReMIX previously released on the PlayStation 3 with six of the titles included. The only game in the series to not have a HD remaster, at the time of writing, is Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance, a follow up to Kingdom Hearts II . However, it was recently teased during Kingdom Hearts 2.5 HD ReMIX‘s credits like 2.5 was in 1.5‘s credits.
Kingdom Hearts III is currently in development for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. More information about the game is expected during Disney’s D23 Expo on August 16th.
