Square Enix has released another trailer for the summer film Kingsglaive: Final Fantasy XV.
The film’s story takes place during the same timeline that the game is, and the film will explore King Regis’ life after his son Noctis leaves suddenly on a friendly-trip. A new character and the protagonist of Kingsglaive: Final Fantasy XV is introduced: Nyx Ultrio who is part of King Regis’ elite guards called the Kingsglaive. The Kingsglaive are able to use the magic of their king and protect not only the crown but the kingdom of Lucis as well. Nyx and the other members of the Kingsglaive are fighting off the invading forces that want to take over Lucis’ crown city of Insomnia. This war has been fought for what feels like ages to the Glaives, but a sudden turn of events places everything on the line and Nyx must fight for his own life and that of his beloved kingdom.
Kingsglaive: Final Fantasy XV will be released in Japan on July 9th. The English version of the film’s website states “Coming Soon to Blu-ray and digital”. There is no other news or screenshots listed on the English website, but the main trailer can be viewed.
