How would you feel if Metal Gear Solid was remade using the new Fox Engine that powers Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain? Excited? Some feeling along the lines of, ‘Holy shit, do that!’? Well, you might get your wish, as Hideo Kojima, during a round table discussion at E3 earlier this month, stated that he was looking for a studio to do that very thing.

Gamereactor, who we have to thank for this bit of news, reports that Kojima is all for another remake of Metal Gear Solid, the first being Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes (GameCube), as done by Silicon Knights. He also noted that some of the game’s mechanics would need to be updated because, you know, times have changed and all that.

The Metal Gear Solid HD Collection and the Metal Gear Solid: Legacy Collection were not enough Metal Gear for one universe to be happy with. There’s always room for more!
