Kojima Unveils Open-World Metal Gear Solid at 25th Anniversary

Yeah, he’s back

Earlier this week it was reported that Kojima stated, “announcements made at the 25th anniversary would shake the industry.” After the company unveiled gameplay footage for an open-world Metal Gear Solid game, I think most people would agree. The game is going to be called Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes and doesn’t have any kind of release date. The only information we have about the game is from the tweets of several people that attended the event.

@kazamatsuri said, “Metal Gear Solid Ground Zeroes demo was truly amazing, running on a PC at current-gen specs. Wow.”

@markmacd tweeted, “Demo of “Metal Gear Solid Ground Zeroes”, started w cutscene (all realtime), went into gameplay, open world, night, raining, base. AMAZING,” followed by “Snake crawled @ avoiding searchlights, killed guard, rode jeep, called in heli for evac. Sounds like MG, but the scale & atmosphere… Wow.”

@ItCameFromJapan chimed in with more details, saying, “Ground Zeroes on Fox Engine – rich detail, open world, and Old Snake is back!”

Judging by the above tweets, the game looks amazing and old Snake is back! This is exactly what I feel devoted Metal Gear Solid fans were waiting for, and now they will get it. Make sure to keep checking our site for more updates.
