Labyrinths of Lunacy Brings Madness to Arkham Horror

<p>This year&comma; Gen Con&comma; one of the world&&num;8217&semi;s largest tabletop gaming conventions&comma; turned 50&period; There were plenty of tabletop events put on for players by various publishers&comma; however one of the biggest ones was <em>Labyrinths of Lunacy<&sol;em>&comma; for the <em>Arkham Horror Living Card Game<&sol;em>&comma; put out by Fantasy Flight Games&period; The special massive multiplayer event was a hit&comma; and now Fantasy Flight are publishing the scenario so players can take on the treacherous labyrinth in the comfort of their own home&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>The <em>Arkham Horror Living Card Game<&sol;em> is set up differently than collectible card games&period; With an LCG&comma; players just buy packs containing set cards&comma; which are not randomized&comma; to build their collection with&period; There is no chase&comma; no ultra mythic rares&comma; just card games for people that like card games and not spending thousands on chasing certain cards&period; <em>Arkham Horror LCG<&sol;em> plays out more like a roleplaying game&comma; where each player controls an investigator&comma; and plays through scenarios that tell a story&period; Players move from location to location&comma; uncovering clues that advance the story&comma; and fighting Lovecraftian monsters and cultists along the way&period; There are typically cycles of scenarios that tell one overarching story&comma; however <em>Labyrinths of Lunacy<&sol;em> is different&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<figure id&equals;"attachment&lowbar;130761" aria-describedby&equals;"caption-attachment-130761" style&equals;"width&colon; 1000px" class&equals;"wp-caption aligncenter"><img class&equals;"size-large wp-image-130761" src&equals;"https&colon;&sol;&sol;cdn&period;bagogames&period;com&sol;wp-content&sol;uploads&sol;2017&sol;10&sol;21080653&sol;hq720-1024x576&period;jpg" alt&equals;"" width&equals;"1000" height&equals;"563" &sol;><figcaption id&equals;"caption-attachment-130761" class&equals;"wp-caption-text">Which of these investigators will survive the labyrinth&quest;<&sol;figcaption><&sol;figure>&NewLine;<p><em>Labyrinths of Lunacy<&sol;em> is set up to be played with three groups of players&comma; up to twelve in total&period; The players have been abducted by a mysterious villain and trapped within a large labyrinth&comma; that is full of treacherous traps and monsters&period; The players have to work together to make their way out of the labyrinth and face off against the madman that is torturing them&period; In this standalone scenario&comma; while players are in separate groups&comma; their actions can affect the other groups in assorted ways&comma; so everyone needs to pay attention to potential outcomes of what they choose to do or not do&period; <em>Labyrinths of Lunacy<&sol;em> also includes a mode to play for a single group of up to four players&comma; so those without a large group can play through the scenarios separately and not rely on a large group for playing&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>The <em>Labyrinths of Lunacy<&sol;em> scenario is set to release in the fourth quarter of the year&comma; so hopefully it comes just in time for the holidays&comma; and for some epic get-togethers&period; Are you a fan of the card game&quest; Will you be taking on the labyrinth and the horrors that lay in wait&quest; Let us know in the comments below&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><strong>Source&colon; <a href&equals;"https&colon;&sol;&sol;www&period;fantasyflightgames&period;com&sol;en&sol;news&sol;2017&sol;10&sol;20&sol;the-labyrinths-of-lunacy&sol;">Fantasy Flight Games<&sol;a><&sol;strong><&sol;p>&NewLine;
