The Last Guardian was announced some time ago, and outside of a trailer or two, we’ve seen nothing else from the game. Over the years it has been teased and hinted at, with hopes of details to come in the future, but as of the time of writing this, we still have nothing solid to go on. Many think the game is no longer a PS3 title and has made the jump to the PS4 but, as with everything else about the game, we simply don’t know.
The game’s director, Fumito Ueda, was recently interviewed by Edge magazine about his career and, of course, The Last Guardian. With the game nowhere near release and still in-development, this is what Ueda had to say:
“Putting aside the short-term output, more than anything I feel terribly sorry that for various reasons I have kept my audience waiting for such a long time.”
Ueda, who is now working on The Last Guardian as a freelance dev, said that his creative work on the game was finished long ago, “but the details of when, where and how it will be completed are beyond my control.”
