The Last Guardian Soundtrack Will be Released on Vinyl

You can always rely on iam8bit to have some great vinyl releases to be excited for. They’ve been nabbing soundtrack after soundtrack and today they’ve announced a pretty big release: The Last Guardian. The vinyl will be available in Q1 of 2017, but pre-orders are available now. The release goes for $35 USD. Check out the artwork below:

The music for the soundtrack is done by Takeshi Furukawa, who also did work on the Star Wars: The Clone Wars film and series. Iam8bit states that the soundtrack “…blends the scope of high adventure with the touching subtlety of an unlikely friendship. That unusual bond of boy & beast resonates deeply in the rich, orchestral score.” Meanwhile, the artwork is done by Nimit Malavia. The 2LP package looks absolutely stunning and will likely sound extremely beautiful. We of course won’t know until December 6th when the game is finally released after a very, very long wait.

If you’re interested in other vinyl releases, I’m a sucker for most of iam8bit’s collections. We’ve talked about the release of Flow and Flower on vinyl, and the absolutely stunning Hyper Light Drifter 4LP set.

Do you plan on picking up the soundtrack for The Last Guardian? Or are you gonna wait and see if the game lives up to the hype, first? Let us know in the comments below!
